What a link opens
From a library: the whole library — new albums join by themselves — or the albums you pick. From an album: only that album. For each picked album you choose:
- All galleries of the album — public and private.
- Public galleries only — private ones stay out.
- Selected private galleries — the public ones plus the private galleries you tick.
For whom
The title is for you. Contacts are the people you attach to the link — they keep your history in order and, with an e-mail address, can get the link by e-mail once, right after it is created. The client never needs an account.
Rules
- Downloads — off: they browse and comment, but save nothing. A gallery that refuses downloads refuses them anyway.
- Details before download — a name and an e-mail once per link, before the first file; browsing never asks. If the library or album requires it, it applies even when this is off.
- Password — typed once before the photos open. Send it another way than the link.
- Start and end — no end date, or 30, 60 or 90 days; in the link's panel you can set exact dates.
- Permanent link — a second, public address of the same link, for social media.
Three ways in
- Link — for a message or an e-mail.
- Access code — a short code to read out over the phone; the recipient types it at library.shutterid.com.
- Permanent link — a public /short/… address with a preview card.
States
- Active — it works.
- Not active yet — its start date hasn't come.
- Expired — its end date has passed.
- Blocked — paused: the address stays, and “Unblock” makes it work again.
- Revoked — final: the address never opens anything again, and its permanent link goes with it.
